Dr Amy Todd (f)
Dr. Amy Todd joined the Practice in March 2010. Prior to her GP training she worked in hospital medicine for ten years. Dr. Todd has interests in Cardiology and Care of the Elderly, Elderly Medicine and promoting holistic care. Having worked in Australia, Glasgow and throughout Devon, she is now happily settled in Exmouth with her young family. Outside of work Dr Todd enjoys skiing, running, paddle boarding and long walks with her dog.
Dr Todd works on a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday plus alternate Fridays.
Dr Charu Bowen (f)
Dr Bowen graduated from the university of Sheffield in 2004; she went on to complete her GP training in London. Having previously worked in specialities including ENT and Emergency Medicine, Dr Bowen has more recently focussed on Women's Health, Contraception, Complex Care, as well as teaching, both within the Practice and as part of Exeter University's Medical School. Outside of the surgery, she enjoys spending time with her family, walking on the local beaches as well as kayaking and sailing.
Dr Bowen works Monday Tuesday and Thursday.
Dr Jonathan Hall (m)
Dr Jonathan Hall graduated from the University of Leicester in 2013 and then spent time working in Sussex before completing his GP training in Exeter. He has an Special interest in Sports and Exercise Medicine and has undertaken a Sports Exercise Medicine Masters which is a great benefit to our patients and has recently gained Membership of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine. He also has an interest in musculoskeletal medicine. Dr Hall also works regularly as an out of hours GP for Devon Doctors. When not working, Dr Hall enjoys spending time exploring Devon with his young family and can often be found either swimming, cycling or running in preparation for the next triathlon! He also uses his skills in sports medicine as the Doctor for the womens Exeter Chiefs Rugby Team.
Dr Hall works on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
Dr Alex Gillies (m)
Dr Gillies graduated from Edinburgh University in 2006 and completed his foundation training in Edinburgh. He moved to Salisbury to study General Medicine, then Oxford for GP training. While in Oxford for seven years he developed an interest in education, working as a GP trainer. He also worked as an Oxford University undergraduate tutor, postgraduate mentor for the medical educational fellowship programme and an international tutor for medical students in war torn countries overseas. After a sabbatical in Melbourne in 2018, he moved to East Devon with his wife and two children. Outside of the surgery he enjoys time with his family, walking the dog and supporting the chiefs. Dr Gillies has clinical interests in chronic disease, skin disease, joint injection and minor surgery.
Dr Gillies works on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday plus alternate Fridays.
Dr Sarah Herbert (f)
Dr Herbert graduated from University of Bristol in 2009 having done a prior degree in Biology at Nottingham Trent University. She completed her Foundation Training in Nottingham and then worked in hospital specilaties such as Acute Medicine, Care of the Older Person and Obs and Gynae before switching to GP training which she completed locally. Outside of the surgery she enjoys sea swimming and paddleboarding and spending time outside with her family.
Dr Herbert works Wednesday and Fridays.
