Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Stay at home if you have coronavirus symptoms.

Stay at home if you have either:

•a high temperature – this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back (you do not need to measure your temperature)

•a new, continuous cough – this means coughing a lot for more than an hour, or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours (if you usually have a cough, it may be worse than usual)

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

Use the 111 online coronavirus service to find out what to do.

Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.

How long to stay at home;
•if you have symptoms of coronavirus, you'll need to stay at home for 7 days
•if you live with someone who has symptoms, you'll need to stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person in the home started having symptoms

If you live with someone who is 70 or over, has a long-term condition, is pregnant or has a weakened immune system, try to find somewhere else for them to stay for 14 days.

If you have to stay at home together, try to keep away from each other as much as possible.

Prescription Requests

We are not allowing patients to enter the building to request medication. We ask for this to be requested via online services account (or via NHS app). Alternatively you can request in writing via email to or via text 07903 592043.

We are using Airmid UK and Accu Rx for video consultations at the moment. Accu Rx is our chosen option because it is easy to use and does not require you to download an app to use it. Your GP will send you a text message with a link to click - you just need to enable your microphone and camera.
The Airmid UK app can be downloaded from the Google Play store and iOS store now. The login is the same as your systmonline log in. Please note there are two apps called Airmid, the GP app is called Airmid UK and has a pink heart inside a blue circle as it's icon.
As you may already know, we are now operating a Telephone Triage service only here at the Surgery. We are not seeing any patients face to face for GP appointments without prior GP triage and urgent or any routine nurse appointments. If you have a smart phone, your Doctor may ask if you can enter a video consultation. If this is something you would be interesed in then please download the app now in readiness.

The Surgery

The doctors and staff at Haldon House Surgery surgery in Exmouth are proud to offer the highest standard of patient-centred healthcare.  

Access into the surgery is via Manchester Street. The Practice has automatic doors and is based on the ground floor for easy wheelchair access. If you require a ramp for access, please let the receptionist know when booking your appointment.

Online Services

To register to use our online services please visit the practice and you will be given a username and password.  We also offer a text messaging reminder service, so please ensure we have your correct mobile telephone number.
