Flu Clinics at Haldon House Surgery 2023
We will be offering the flu vaccine to all our eligible patients for clinics starting from September.
There will be dedicated Saturday clinics run by our nurses; but if these dates are not suitable for you, we will have some mop up clinics at a later date.
We will be sending an SMS invite to all eligible patients which will allow you to book directly into a slot which suits you. We will send a letter to any patients with no listed mobile or landline number.
If you have not heard from us by 1st September 2023, please contact us directly and our reception team will be happy to book you an appointment.
As we hold your medical records, the surgery is able to advise who can have a vaccine based on their age, health and risks and will ensure we have sufficient vaccines to vaccinate you and your family members who fall into these groups.
Please let us know if you are a carer so this can be noted in your medical records ensuring you will be notified as soon as booking is available.
We will be offering the covid vaccine to those eligible if recommended as an Autumn booster, however, at this point we are awaiting confirmation from the Government and NHS England about whether an Autumn booster will be made available. We are hoping to do these at the same time as the flu vaccinations.
Our staff look forward to welcoming you to one of our flu vaccination clinics in September.

We have now gone live with our new telephone system. This is a cloud based service which gives us unlimited lines in and out of the Practice and also enables the Team to work from home without needing a seperate telephone, they can do this using a 'soft phone' to make calls (via their laptops). There is an option for patients to select a call back from an Admininstration member of the Team (if the wait has been a while) this service is available for one call back, and will message you (if its a mobile number) if the call was missed by you. You will now be advised of where you are in the queue of callers into the Practice. Other options are our Prescribing Enquiries line which is manned from 9.00 am - 1.00 pm or the option to leave a message from 1.00 pm - 6.00 pm.
Please join our Walking Group - Ramblers Wellbeing Walks
We meet every month at the Bandstand in the Manor Gardens at 9.45 for a 10.00 o'clock start. All walks are accessible, open and welcoming to all. Walks are held over easy terrain and accessible to all abilities. New dates for our walks to be released soon.

National Data Opt-Out
NHS Digital has launched a campaign about your medical data records.
Your health records contain a type of data called confidential patient information. This data can be used to help with research and planning. You can choose to opt-out of this service, meaning your data records will not be used either following the link below or popping into reception to collect a form (which you will then need to bring back to us for completion).
NHS Digital have made the decision to extend the date to be compliant with the National Data Opt-out (NDOO) until the 31st March 2022 to opt-out so if you do wish to opt-out, please don’t wait. For more information, please see Your NHS Data Matters.
To register to use our online services please visit the practice or the SystmOne Online Button and you will be given a username and password. Other online services are email, SMS and also offer a text messaging reminder service, so please ensure we have your correct mobile telephone number.
As an increasing range of care is being delivered by practices working together in networks, including the COVID-19 vaccination programme, it is useful to patients to know which network their practice is part of.
We are part of WEB (Woodbury, Exmouth and Budleigh) primary care network (PCN).

"Always listen, all staff are kind and helpful, the doctors are very approachable"
Thank you to the patient who went to the trouble of contacting Care Quality Commission (CQC) to share their feedback. It really does mean a lot and its things like this that make our day.
A little praise when times are tough goes a long way, thankyou!
