HOW TO REQUEST A HOME VISIT

Please try to attend the surgery whenever possible, as the facilities here are better for diagnosis and treatment and any tests that are needed can be carried out.  However, we understand that this is not always possible. There fore if you are too ill to attend the surgery and feel that a home visit is required, please telephone the surgery, if possible before 11.00am, giving some indication of the problem. This will enable the doctors to plan their visits for the day, ensuring the more urgent visits are dealt with first. 

A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
