Organ Donor

The law around organ donation in England has changed.

All adults in England are now considered to have agreed to be an organ donor when they die unless they have recorded a decision not to donate or are in one of the excluded groups.

If you do not want to donate your organs then you should register your decision to refuse to donate. Remember to speak to your family and loved ones about your decision. https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/register-your-decision/refuse-to-donate/

GP Net Earnings

All GP Practices are required to declare the mean net earnings (e.g. Average Pay) for GP's working to deliver NHS Services to patients at each practice. This is required in the interests of the greater public accountability recognising GP pay is ultimately funded from tax paid by the public.

The average pay for GP's working at Haldon House Surgery in the last financial year was £43,498 before tax and national insurance. This is for 2 full time GP's, 3 part time GP's and 0 locum GP's who worked in the practice for more than six months.

This information was updated in January 2020.
